Babies are sometimes born with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and might need some additional help. Their needs can be obvious or may take years before you notice the signs. Fortunately, Oldham has a fantastic offer of support for children and young people with SEND, as well as their parents and carers. 

Oldham’s SEND offer is known as the “Local Offer”. It’s been produced by children, young people, parents, carers, and practitioners working together and includes activities, short breaks, education, transport, housing and finance to name a few areas.

The Oldham Parent Carer Forum (POINT) provide information, advice, and peer support to improve the lives and outcomes of children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities aged 0-25.
