Home learning for 7 to 11-year-olds

Your child is learning all kinds of new things in school, and some will be subjects you know very little about. To help them with their learning journey and make sure their new knowledge sticks you can reinforce their learning at home. Not sure where to start? The BBC has some great videos that many teachers use in class.

Try doing one or two together each day, and the next day ask your child to recall what they’ve learnt. Recall is another great way to make sure their new-found knowledge is sticking. By watching them together, you’ll get an understanding of what they’re learning about and be able to help them with homework or explain things they need extra help with.
